what this tool does

Takes a TikTok handle as input, queries public reach signals — recent post view-counts vs your historical baseline, hashtag indexability (do your posts surface when their tags are searched?), follower-growth velocity, mention reach, sound usage discoverability — and returns a probability score: how likely it is that your account is currently under a soft suppression. No login. No password. We're not authenticated as you; we're observing what a stranger searching for you would find.

The output is a number, a short explanation of which signals contributed to it, and a recovery checklist tailored to whichever signals look worst.

why this matters

Shadowbans are not officially acknowledged by TikTok, which is part of what makes them so corrosive. You notice your view-count collapsed. You ask other creators; they shrug. You search for your own handle and your videos appear, but search for one of your hashtags and they don't. You can't tell whether you posted something the moderation system flagged, whether you tripped a sound-licensing rule, whether the algorithm is just cold on you this week, or whether the platform has decided to suppress your reach for a reason you'll never be told.

This checker exists because guessing in the dark is worse than a structured guess. It can't read TikTok's internal flags — no third-party tool can — but it can tell you, from the outside, whether the symptoms match a suppression pattern or whether you're just having a slow week. That difference is the difference between deleting the post that tanked you, fixing whatever community-guidelines edge you crossed, and waiting it out — versus burning a week on the wrong intervention.

For the deeper diagnostic and the recovery flow, the pillar guide on this is /guides/tiktok-shadowban and /guides/am-i-shadowbanned. The checker is the entry point; the guides are the depth.

If your suppression is link-related rather than reach-related — TikTok blocking the domain in your bio, the "this link may be unsafe" warning, the bio click-through silently dropping — that's a different problem, covered in /guides/this-link-may-be-unsafe-instagram and /help/tiktok-blocked-my-link. The checker won't catch that one. It catches the reach-side suppression specifically.

what you'll see

  1. Handle input field. @yourhandle or yourhandle — either works. Single field, single Check button.
  2. Loading state. A few seconds while the tool pulls recent-post reach data, hashtag-search results, and follower-velocity signals.
  3. Score card. A 0–100 likelihood score with a verdict band — low (0–30), moderate (30–60), likely (60–85), very likely (85–100). The score appears with a single-sentence verdict line.
  4. Contributing signals. A breakdown of which signals contributed to the score: view-count vs baseline (-40% in last 14 days), hashtag indexability (3 of 5 recent hashtags do not surface your posts), follower growth rate (flat vs +120/wk historical average). Each signal is one line with a value and a contribution weight.
  5. Recovery checklist. Tailored to which signals are worst. If hashtag-indexability looks bad: a sequence on auditing recent posts for community-guidelines edges. If view-count is the issue: a 7-day posting-pause + cadence-reset protocol. If follower-velocity is the issue: a checklist of what changed in your content mix.
  6. Link to depth. "Read the full diagnostic →" pointing to /guides/tiktok-shadowban.

who this is for

TikTok creators whose view-counts dropped without explanation and who want a structured second opinion before they panic-delete posts.

Agencies and managers running multi-account creator rosters who need a fast triage tool when a client account starts underperforming.

Anyone who's been told by someone in their DMs that they're shadowbanned and wants to actually check rather than take a stranger's word for it.

currently in development

We're building this. The reach-signal collection is straightforward; the score calibration is the work — what threshold of view-count drop relative to baseline actually corresponds to suppression vs natural variance, what hashtag-indexability lag is normal, how to handle accounts with very few posts where baseline is unstable. We're working through that with creator-data partners now.

If you need to check today:

  • TAMEYO (tameyo.com) runs a free TikTok shadowban check that returns a similar set of signals. Open TAMEYO's checker{rel="nofollow"} — third-party, not affiliated with linkboo, but the methodology is reasonable.
  • Dolphin Radar also runs a checker for TikTok and Instagram with a freemium model. Open Dolphin Radar{rel="nofollow"} — same caveat.
  • The manual method: Open TikTok in incognito or while logged out. Search for one of your recent hashtags. Scroll. If your post doesn't appear in the hashtag feed within the expected position based on its view-count, the hashtag is suppressed for your post. Do the same with three or four hashtags. If two or more come back suppressed, the symptoms match a soft shadowban.
