The Website field in TikTok's Edit Profile screen is gated by account eligibility, not visible by default to all users. If the field is not showing, your account has not crossed the threshold that activates it. Five common eligibility states.
Eligibility checklist
Follower count. TikTok historically activates the website field at around 1,000 followers, though the exact threshold has varied by region and account age. If you are under 1,000 followers, the field will not appear. There is no manual override.
Account type. Switch to a Business account or Creator account via Settings → Account → Switch to Business/Creator Account. Some account types have the website field available at lower follower counts.
Region. Accounts in some regions have the website field disabled regardless of follower count due to local regulatory requirements. This applies to a small number of regions and is not currently user-overrideable. A region change (with a SIM and IP from the new region) sometimes activates it, but switching primary region on an existing TikTok account is non-trivial.
Account age. New accounts that just crossed the follower threshold sometimes wait 24–72 hours for the field to appear. Force-quit the app, log out, log back in, and re-check.
Account standing. Accounts under temporary or permanent restriction for community guideline violations may have the field disabled. Check Settings → Account → Account status. If you see an active strike or restriction, the field will reappear once the restriction resolves.
Fix steps
- Confirm your current follower count is above the regional threshold.
- Switch to a Business or Creator account if you have not already.
- Verify your account has no active strikes in Settings → Account.
- Log out, force-quit the app, log back in.
- Wait up to 72 hours after crossing the threshold for the field to appear.
If the field is still missing after all five, contact TikTok Support through Settings → Report a problem → "I can't find the website field." Include your handle, current follower count, and account type.
Still not working?
While waiting for the field to activate, the standard workaround is to mention your link in your bio description text (it will not be clickable) and direct viewers to "tap the link in my Linktree / linkboo / etc." once the website field is live.
